the shwedagon is out of this world. Its incredible to see so many pagodas in the middle of such a bustling city. The ground is a pearl white color and thousands of pagodas are perfectly placed all throughout the temple. During sunset, the pagodas catch the dimishing sunlight perfectly to where all of the gold statues are shining. The only downside is the 10,000kyat fee thay foreigners have to pay, which can add up quickly when visiting any government/religious sight. This is to be expected however, so budget accordingly and make sure the shwedagon is one of the sights that you go to!
