Neak Pean is a Buddhist temple-island complex constructed as an oasis of peace and reflection during the reign of Jayavarman II. Neak Pean stands on an artificial island surrounded by ponds. Some say that Neak Pean was constructed as part of a hospital or designed as a Khmer spa where people with illnesses come to bathe at the ponds to re-attain their natural balance with nature. The best time to visit Neak Pean is just after the rainy season, that is, October and November when the ponds are filled with water.

Nirvana Palace was a temple sanatorium and a big hospital at the time. Even today, Cambodians still believe in the magical efficacy of the snake temple. Although the pool has been desolate for a long time, locals still pick plants in the water and take them home for a medicinal bath.

In ancient hospitals, doctors decided which pool you should soak in by judging which disease you have in the soil and water. After Angkor was abandoned, the artificial reservoir surrounding the pool hospital dried up and many trees grew. With the return of humans, the reservoir was put into use again, so the trees died into rows of stumps in the water, which was breathtaking. Ancient times, I needed to row a boat to enter the hospital, and now I have a boardwalk to enter. In fact, after entering, there is not much to see.

Neak Poan temple is a very popular island temple on the large circuit road at Angkor Wat. There isn't much of the temple, and due to the reflection on the lake, it gets *very* hot here. The highlight are the bridge, still waters and mirror image that is created.

Longpan pool means "winding giant snake", such a small temple in the middle of the water, in the blue sky and white clouds set off the pavilion, beautiful like a pearl in the water. The local people still believe in the miracle medicine treatment of the snake temple. Although the pool has been abandoned for a long time, Cambodians go to visit the snake temple and want to pick up plants growing in the pool land and take them home for medicine bath. The big pool (known as the Holy Pool) is designed for bathing patients. Now the water has dried up.

Longpan Pool (Nirvana Palace). The Longpan Pool was built during the reign of Hanyebama VII. It was a project for the benefit of the people. It was a hospital and sanatorium at that time. The main building is immersed in a large pool, with four small pools on each side. It is said that doctors in that year scattered all kinds of medicinal materials in the pool. Each pool can treat different diseases. Only bathing in the pool can achieve the effect of disease elimination and health preservation. To see the Longpan Pool, we must walk through a long wooden trestle road, through a huge "Dongchi" trestle road. The rural scenery on both sides of the trestle road is very beautiful. There is a sad music coming from the lakeside straw shed. Some disabled villagers and artists play and sing. Originally, this is the "landmine victim" charity ground for collecting donations.

Nirvana Palace, also known as the Dragon Pool, is said to be a hospital in Angkor, and some say it is a temple for sacrifice. The pool in the dry season is a bit scary, and the overgrown weeds and dead branches make the decaying place more strange. But the rainy season is full of livelihoods, green trees and water pools reflect everything around very beautiful.

Neak Pean, also known as the Nirvana Palace, was built in the 12th century. There is an island in the middle of the big pool. There is only a small temple of stone pagoda built in imitation of Mount Xumi on the island. On the stone pagoda, two entangled giant snake kings (Naga) are carved. On the east side of the island, there is a statue of white horse. Neak Pean means "a coiled serpent". Dragon Pan consists of five square pools, the largest pool in the center (known as the Holy Pool), symbolizing the ancient Himalayan mythology of Anavatapta, connected by a small pool on each side, while the water in the large pool is individually through four statues (north - water), horse (west - wind), lion (south - fire), man (east - earth, originally cowhead), then people. They planted grass at the bottom of the main pond. During the rainy season, the water of the pond was full. The herbs were naturally decomposed in the water and became a medicine pond. The medicine water flowed from the big pond into the flat groove of the penis in the small chamber, and then out of the outlets. There was a lotus pedestal under it. The patient knelt here to treat the disease with herbal water. As the four small pools are said to have different curative effects, the patients are identified and will follow the instructions to soak in liquid medicine. The covered roof above the outlet of the small pool is also carved with images of patient treatment and massage. Zhou Daguan in "Zhenla Fengdu Ji" called "Longpan" as "Beichi" - "Beichi in the north of the city, five miles, there is a Golden Square Pagoda, stone houses, Golden Lion, Golden Buddha, bronze statue, copper bull, bronze horse belong to. " Disaster humbles mankind, disaster makes mankind expect salvation, and salvation leads people to believe. Longpan is the place where there are no buildings in Angkor City, but its layout contains the most pure ritual meaning of belief space. In fact, we did not enter the Dragon Pool. After coming out of the Saint Sword Temple, we lyricized at the edge of the Dragon Pool in front of us. Water is the source of life, the birth, the cleaning, the treatment and healing, the blessing and the comfort. Best portrait photography point - "here, we "clean" together, get treatment, get blessings, get comfort.
