Masada is a Jewish holy site, one of the United Nations World Heritage Sites. It is located on a rocky hilltop at the junction of the Judean Desert and the Dead Sea Valley, about 25 kilometers north of EinGedi. The natural roads to Masada are extremely steep, most notably the Snake Path on the east side.
