The city of Malacca used to be the seat of the Kingdom of Malacca, where Zheng He made six stops in the Atlantic Ocean. Now it is the throat of the lifeline of the Strait of Malacca. Malacca has abundant cultural heritage and many historical sites. Besides the historical relics left by Zheng He, there are also buildings in Britain, Portugal and the Netherlands. Chinese signs of shops in India and Chinese shops can be seen on the streets. Malacca was listed on the World Heritage List in 2008.
