Kuthodaw Pagoda is located close to Mandalay Hill. The King Mindon Min had the pagoda built as part of the new royal city of Mandalay in 1857. The Pagoda contains the world's largest book.

Gudu Taofota is near the Golden Palace Monastery, opposite the Sandaluny Monastery, not far from Mandalay Mountain. 🚗 Transportation Raiders: Taxi can be reached. Public transportation cannot be reached. Burmese currency 8,000 fare. 💰 Ticket price: Mandalay Pass Myanmar Coin 10,000 can visit the Gudu Tao Buddha Pagoda. 📌 Little Tips: Do your homework before going, it is better. There is a Sandamuni monastery opposite, which is a spirey pagoda. If you don't have time, you can choose one of the two. They are all similar pagodas.

Mandalay's Buddhist temples and pagodas are very numerous, and have not been affected by the war, but most of them have been stained with the vicissitudes of the years. Small parts are undergoing multiple renovations. Very magnificent and worth seeing.

A beautiful, serene temple of hundreds of little structures that make up the largest book in the world.

Easily one of my favourite sights in Mandalay, this stunning pagoda is said to contain the world's largest book (the pages are marble slabs in small, individual temples). Located at the foot of Mandalay Hill, head in to admire the beauty and peacefulness of this temple.

It is claimed to be the largest group of stupas. It is only open to tourists for a small part, and most of them are not allowed to enter. It is estimated that there is not enough manpower to maintain it.
