Crystal Bay Review

Crystal Bay is one of the few beaches on Penida Island that don’t need to take stairs, it’s swimming, lots of rocks, but it’s great for snorkeling, you’ll see a lot of boats at certain times of the day. There are many restaurants nearby. Tickets are required to enter the beach, but not expensive. Like most Penida beaches and Penida itself, it is full of the feeling of "what would Bali be like years ago" if there was no tourism fever. It's a dream island with remote white sand beaches that can be reached through dusty paths, road conditions are improving, but the way to reach is limited...there are several bamboo houses serving corn cobs, coconuts and cold drinks! Beyond the beaches we visited, Kristal Bay is the easiest place for motorbikes to reach, and the rest is more challenging as there are many steep stairs and potholes of road. But heaven does pay, and to compensate for the pain of sitting on your ass on the way to these beaches, you will have beautiful turquoise bays, enjoy the sunset in the most tranquil atmosphere, the peace and tranquility of the sea and life on Penida Island (full of magic!) Definitely our favorite beach on the island.

Loved the hotel. Could do with turning the super loud noise down at breakfast considering most rooms face inwards though. Staff were awesome. Not near anything but doesn't need to be since taxis are cheap. Great to get away from everything.

I visited this place on March 25, 2023. The location boasts a breathtaking view of the deep blue sea and white sandy beach. Many tourists were capturing photos, sunbathing, and enjoying a swim. If you choose to use a motorcycle, there is a parking fee of 5k. Along the beach, you'll find a few food stalls (warungs). I tried their nasi goreng, and it was delicious.

Crystal Bay is a very beautiful bay, clear sea water, beautiful scenery.

Come to crystal beach snorkeling is simply an unplanned thing. But the boat put us in this crystal bay and the water was very cold when we started going down, and the snorkeling mirror and breathing tube were not suitable. But I was amazed when I went down into the water, and the underwater world was simply amzing. All kinds of corals and all kinds of small fish, even my 400 degree myopia can directly see the beauty of the small fish. Life has been very happy once.
