Moke Lake

About 20 minutes drive from Queenstown city, the road is not easy to drive, the road is narrow, there are a lot of natural scenery on the gravel road, and there are camping campsite very classic life on the ground.

We have been a bit delayed in the frenetic and bustling Queenstown, a beautiful camp that looks like a popular refuge. We didn’t camp (it was winter), but we drove 4 miles from Queenstown, enjoyed the wonderful views and hiked a short walk. When the wind was calm, the lake was a perfect mirror of the surrounding mountains. It was really beautiful. The kayaking looks great I wish we had checked this before we came, and if we knew, we would choose to take this. The process of driving through the valley to the camp will make people feel like they are in the Lord of the Rings scene. The camp looked comfortable and some bathroom facilities were still open in winter. Maybe it was a shopping place in summer, but in winter it was almost our own place. Take a break and explore the beauty outside Queenstown.

The snowy peaks, the clear and calm lake, the green grass by the lake, and the house. The air is pure to almost luxury, there is no trace of pollution, absolute nature makes the pure land!

The road to the lake is very bumpy and slow. But when you swim in the ice water in the lake, the beautiful 360 degree view will make you feel that the long bump is worth it. It is perfect for picnics, boating, jungle hiking, or horse riding nearby. There are also many outdoor toilets, which are easy to use and in good condition. This trip is great when the weather is good! If you like swimming, you can bring a wetsuit.

It's pretty. The drive to Moke Lake was amazing. After waiting there, the scenery is more beautiful. It rained on the day we went, and the clouds drooped. Photographer's dream place. The scenery is unpredictable. The astronomical pictures I took at night were incredible. It's about a quarter of an hour from Queenstown to Glenorchy. It's a good drive.

Very beautiful campsites, mainly local people to go on vacation. Note that the last section of the road is the gravel road. It's best to drive a four-wheel drive. There's a Ben Lomond Horse Treks near the lake that's open to visitors, $99 for a person, about an hour and a half, who can jog on a horse.
