Quanzhou Ancient Boat Gallery

The Quanzhou Bay Ancient Ship Exhibition Hall is located in Kaiyuan Temple in Licheng District. The main showroom is the Song Dynasty shipwreck and its accompanying excavations excavated from the post-Da Nang port of Quanzhou Bay in 1974. The wreck length and width of the wreck are24.20 meters and9.15 meters. The ship is flat, the bottom tip, and the hull plate is stacked with 2 to 3 heavy plates. There are 13 watertight compartments, and the joints of the main keel have "life-saving holes". According to research, this is a medium-sized ocean freighter built in Quanzhou in the 13th century, with a length of 34 meters, width of 11 meters, and a depth of 4 meters, with a load weight of more than 200 tons.

On the north side of the National Tower in Dakaiyuansi Town is the Quanzhou Bay Ancient Ship Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall displays the Song Dynasty shipwreck and its accompanying cultural relics excavated from Da Nang after Quanzhou Bay in 1974. The wreck is24.20 meters long and9.15 meters wide. The museum has two floors. On the first floor, you can view and understand the typical characteristics of ancient Chinese pointed sea ships from different angles. The two ends are high, the bottom is sharpened, the keel is thick, the hull is flat, and the line shape is very smooth. The second floor is the exhibition hall and cloister, from the second floor railing overlooking, you can see the multi-storey hull plate, 13 watertight compartments and other wonderful ship structure. The second floor sea ship unearthed cultural relics exhibition hall displays spice drugs, wooden goods signage, copper iron money, ceramics, copper iron, bamboo leaf hemp weaving, cultural goods, decorations, leather products, fruit cores, fruit shells, shells, animal bones and so on. Next to the upper and lower corridors are also displayed the ship's utensils since Song and Yuan found in Quanzhou waters, such as stone rafts, wooden rafts, iron anchors and other objects. In my opinion, the ancient ship museum should not belong to Kaiyuan Temple, but only in Kaiyuan Temple.

The ancient ship showcase is located in Kaiyuan Temple. The main display shows an ancient shipwreck excavated from Quanzhou Bay in 1974. When you enter the door, you will see a giant ship, and the two floors above and below show the iron anchors unearthed with the ship.

I went to Quanzhou for a business trip and visited Kaiyuan Temple by the way. This ancient boathouse is in Kaiyuan Temple. It is said that it was an ancient shipwreck found here in Quanzhou before. After salvaging, I found a lot of cultural relics in it. I showed cultural relics in this museum and this ship. A museum was built for the first ancient ship, but recently the museum was closed for maintenance.

Next to the Memorial Hall of Master Hongyi in Kaiyuan Temple, there is a large excavated vessel, as well as the introduction of the related ancient vessel and the description of the silk trade. Photographs are forbidden to flash, visits are forbidden to make noise. It's a very interesting place.
