🌈Historical Background: The Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge was built in the 15th year of the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1835). It was an important route for business travel from southern Guizhou to Guangxi, spanning the Resounding River. 🚗Highlights: National 5A level scenic spot, there are two original stone steles at the head of the bridge, one is the 'Repair Monument', inscribing the merit of building the bridge; the other is the 'Everlasting Prosperous Bridge Monument', engraved with the couplet 'Thousands of years of mountain rocks and waves, ten thousand years of Resounding River Bridge'. The bridge has seven holes, commonly known as the 'Small Seven Holes Ancient Bridge'. 🎫Ticket Information: Ticket + scenic area car 150 ✨Travel Suggestions: It is recommended to drive by yourself. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Libo County to the Small and Big Seven Holes. When you arrive at the entrance of the scenic area, take the scenic bus on the left to the Small Seven Holes, and the Big Seven Holes is on the right for walking. There are small electric cars to shuttle between the various attractions of the Small Seven Holes, or you can walk, but it is quite far. It is recommended to take the sightseeing car at any time. The most famous is still the Small Seven Holes Bridge, of course, there will be a lot of people taking pictures on the bridge.

May Day holiday is over, we avoided the peak travel season and signed up for a group tour to Guizhou that we had been longing for on Ctrip. Some experiences: 1. The cheap air tickets booked on Ctrip, the outbound flight of 9 Yuan Airlines was delayed for three hours, and we arrived at the hotel after 11 pm. The return flight of West Air was delayed for more than an hour, and we arrived home at almost 1 am. The seats could only be at a right angle, which was uncomfortable for me with protruding intervertebral discs, neither standing nor sitting. 2. Very tired! Average of over 20,000 steps per day, mostly climbing mountains! The first day at Huangguoshu Waterfall was okay, the waterfall was quite magnificent, but we, in our seventies, were deterred by the Water Curtain Cave. The second day at Fanjing Mountain, it was cloudy at the foot of the mountain and raining on the mountain. After hearing from young people who came down from the mountain with strong bodies, "I didn't see anything!" we took the cable car back without hesitation. None of the people who continued to climb the mountain reached the summit, and most of them returned disappointed after reaching the Mushroom Stone. They regretted it and were fortunate for their foresight. 😄 (It is said that there are 300 days a year when you can't see the scenery). In the morning of the third day, we visited the ancient town of Zhenyuan, which left a good impression. There were few people, it had history and heritage, and the commercial atmosphere was not too strong. No need to climb mountains, suitable for the elderly. In the afternoon, Qianhu Miao Village had too strong a commercial atmosphere, and the commercial street was full of humanistic landscapes created for tourism. There were photo studios everywhere renting Miao costumes for taking pictures. We experienced the long table banquet and had a good time. The night view was lively, suitable for young people. On the fourth day, we visited the Seven Small Arches, with the small arches as the main attraction. It was indeed a bit like what the tour guide said: looking up to Zhangjiajie, looking down to Jiuzhaigou, and enjoying the pleasant scenery of small Guizhou in the middle. Guizhou Province is not small, but Jiuzhaigou is more magnificent and colorful. If you can't go to Jiuzhaigou, go to Seven Small Arches. 3. The accommodation was okay, especially for the first three days. Qianhu Miao Village was the worst, with a slight smell of sewage, and we could still hear people talking in the corridor at one or two o'clock in the middle of the night. I don't know if it's because the room faces the corridor and has bad feng shui. 4. There are many Guizhou snacks, some of which are delicious, such as the pie with meat filling. Some people like to eat sausage and intestine noodles, but most of them don't suit their taste, especially the folded ear root, which is absolutely delicious for Guizhou people. 4. This year, I saw a beautiful sea of Verbena flowers in the main city. The vast Verbena, with a dreamy atmosphere, blooms quietly and lushly on the banks of the Jialing River. There is also a super beautiful sunset by the river, and after the evening breeze of early summer, you can also take photos of the evening glow. In the flower sea, there are small paths, chairs, and a white viewing platform. This was a one day trip that we had been planning for almost three months. We set out at 0530am from Guiyang to Libo. We used a personal car to drive to & fro. It was a journey of more than 200km. We arrived & bought our tickets after signing in (due to Covid reasons, foreigners have to fill in their travel history & show their green health code for entry) We set out for what was to be a beautiful & amazing day. The place is very big & there are buses included in the entry fee, so once inside it’s easy to move from one scenic spot to the other. There are many places to visit so don’t waste time on one scene. There are more than 3 kinds of waterfalls, all so beautiful. There are spots where one can play in the water so bring an extra pair of sandals or slopes. If you have a child with you, they’ll definitely want to get into the water so bring an extra change of clothes. There are lots of people even during the week so you’ll need to take turns to experience the various activities like boating. There is also a cave where you can see beautiful natural infrastructure inside, oh so colorful. The last scene is the most famous one from history, the bridge with seven arches. Overall it was a wonderful experience. There is one particular eating where I had rice & chicken thighs for lunch, tasty! I just came back from Guizhou, and the scenery there is truly breathtaking! Huangguoshu Waterfall, Xiaoqikong, and Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, each place is captivating and makes you want to stay forever. 🌈 First stop: Huangguoshu Waterfall - In the early morning, we embarked on our journey to Huangguoshu Waterfall. Standing on the observation deck, I was overwhelmed by the magnificent force of the waterfall, with mist all around, as if I were in a fairyland. Don't forget to bring a raincoat, or you'll get wet! - After lunch, we strolled along the mountain roads, admiring the cascade of waterfalls along the way and marveling at nature's masterpiece. 🌈 Second stop: Libo Xiaoqikong - In the early morning, we drove to Libo Xiaoqikong. There are seven natural bridge holes of varying sizes, with crystal-clear river water flowing through them, creating a stunning view. - Walking along the river, we enjoyed the waterfalls and the emerald green water, feeling the tranquility and harmony of nature. 🌈 Third stop: Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village - On the third day, we arrived at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. It is the largest Miao village in China, preserving a rich Miao culture and traditional architecture. - Strolling through the alleys of the Miao village, we experienced the strong ethnic atmosphere. In the evening, we watched Miao song and dance performances and tasted authentic Miao cuisine. 📌 **Practical Tips**: - The weather in Guizhou is changeable, so please check the weather forecast before going out and bring appropriate clothing. - When visiting waterfalls, be careful of slipping and waterproofing. - When visiting the Miao village, respect the local customs and religious beliefs.
