The Goose-nosed Lighthouse has a history of more than 100 years. Before the lighthouse was built, many merchant ships were shipwrecked at the nearby Seven Star Rock Reef. Worse, survivors who escaped ashore will also suffer massacres of aboriginal people on the shore, and the Luo Fa incident and Peony Society incident caused by this incident have caused the Qing government to be under diplomatic pressure. Three years later, the Japanese rebuilt the lighthouse and erected the first telephone in the Hengchun area.
