The majestic building of the Arc de Triomphe was built to commemorate Napoleons defeat of the Russian and Austrian coalition forces in the Battle of Osterlitz in February 1806. However, the building has been repaired for 30 years, and the middle of it was almost unfinished. It was finally completed in 1836. This is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe of the Roman Empire.
