This temple is the same name as the Ananda temple. Be careful not to be confused. The two temples are very close and walk for a few minutes. There are beautiful frescos in the temple, if you have time, you can come and see it.

Do not confuse this with a two minute walk to the temple of the same name, it is a small brick church or monastery. It was damaged in the August 2016 earthquake. We were told that it contained some frescoes but we could only see them from the outside.
Built in 1775, it is a representative work of the late decline of Myanmar traditional art and the rebirth of architecture. There are splendid frescoes in the temple, depicting life in the 18th century in nuance, and some depict Portuguese merchants.
AnandaOkKyaung is a brick temple located at the main entrance of Ananda Temple, right next to the famous Ananda. It is a small temple with beautiful murals. In order to protect the murals, it is forbidden to take pictures in it.
