About Nanping: Nanping is situated in the north of Fujian province, on the southeast side of the Wuyi Mountains, and borders the provinces of Zhejiang and Hubei. It was the center of the Han dynasty kingdom of Minyue and according to legend was the birthplace of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King who features in the Chinese novel Journey to the West. Wuyi Tea and Tai Chi are also believed to originate from here. The picturesque Wuyi Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are home to a number of attractions including Taoyuan Cave, Jiuqu River and Wuyi Palace.
