Nairobi (which means cool water in the Maasai language) was founded in 1899 as a railway camp. Today it is quite westernized, one of Africa's major cities (and the U.N.'s fourth World Centre) and is the capital of Kenya. Rapid development has created a buzzing commercial atmosphere which necessitates holding your wits about you to avoid purse snatchers and the like. The National Museum offers some interesting education, but most travellers pass through Nairobi as a gateway to the National Parks and wildlife encounter/safari experience which are just outside the city.
Nomadic by NatureLions, leopards, hippos, rhinos, and more running around, and the park is located right in the city. It is literally like having a savannah neighborhood in the city. Wild view-scapes of herds of animals with skyscrapers in the background. Go early in the morning (arrive around 6am) for the cats and other nocturnal wildlife, or in the afternoon arriving around 4pm for the dusk. Get a group together and hire a car.
E27***92We visited in February, it was a great experience! Entry for foreigners costs 1500 KSH and they do NOT accept cash. You can feed the giraffes food pellets and they are very inquisitive. They're soft to touch! There are also warthogs running around them. We happened to be there when a guy gave an educational talk about the different species of giraffes, very interesting.
E22***02the museum is very interesting , the room explaining about the animals is amazing , with real size réplicas of elephant , giraffe , lion , zebra etc staff is very friendly and I recommend you take the offer , for a small amount , to have a community guide to explain to you with details about Kenya history.
E22***51The view from the KICC helipad spot is spectacular! It gives a panoramic view of the whole of the city center and beyond, offering glimpses of the fast rising Upperhill district as well as new landmarks in Westlands. Definitely a must try!
Burberry_is_KingKaren House is very good. But before you go, you have to watch the movie "Out of Africa". If you are surrounded by blue sky, white clouds, greenery, tall trees, and red houses, you can't help but feel the thoughts. It seems that you can touch the courage and love of Karen's powerful woman. The tour takes 1 hour. Watching a movie first, going out of Africa, and then coming here to experience Karen's boundless love, tenacity and character, will enhance our motivation in life.
juki235The animal orphanage in Nairobi is a very special orphanage, which mainly accommodates some animals that have been poached and lost their parents. There are elephants, rhinos, giraffes, etc. When these animals are raised and grown up, they will be released back to nature, but during this time they will be carefully taken care of to heal their spiritual trauma. I really hope not to With this kind of slaughter, the animals have a free, calm and safe environment where everyone can live in harmony.
#nairobikenya #safariguide you can see closer to animals you never see in real life before.only in Kenya Nairobi safari park
Kenya is one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever travelled to. We crafted our trip mixing different experiences- Safari, unique hotel stay which was the Giraffe Manor and the encounter with the local culture.
We chose Samburu as our Safari destination which was a perfect choice. After spotting the most unique species we visited the local village and were hosted by the Samburu tribe.
During our Safari experience we stayed in Sasaab by the Safari Collection which was everything I ever dreamt of.
The final stop of our trip was a stay in the Giraffe Manor which was just as unique as the picture show!
One of the most unique experiences I've ever had was my visit to Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya. The only way to ensure a stay here is to make sure you book months in advance! This place gets sold out so fast because of how popular it is on social media but it is so worth it!!
You can experience feeding giraffes every morning during breakfast and even from your bedroom. I recommend choosing a bedroom on the top level of the house.
The manor is also all-inclusive! The food is amazing as well. It was money well spent!

Having afternoon Tea with new friends is always fun. It was great to meet all these friendly giraffes at my hotel in Kenya.
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust takes in orphaned and injured elephants and raises them before returning them to the wild. Every day at 10am they open and allow visitors to come and watch them being fed. Keepers tell about where and in what condition the elephants were found. You can also adopt an elephant for 50 USD each year. If you like elephants this is a must see event while in Kenya.
My trip in Nairobi was very interesting and I was very excited about it
"Lake Bogoria National Reserve"
Lake Nakuru is the legendary kingdom of Kenyan flamingos. Tens of thousands of flamingos have gathered at the lake to eat and play. In recent years, due to excessive rain, the salt content of Lake Nakuru has been decreasing year by year. The flamingos cannot eat the salt lake fish and shrimp floats they depend on and have to relocate collectively. Of course, there are still a small group of flamingos left here, busy looking down and eating the only food.
The new Flamingo Kingdom is in Lake Bogoria National Reserve. Although it is closer to Lake Baringo, the very bumpy dirt road has only arrived in an hour and a half. When I havent been to the lake yet
A 10,000 giraffe manor day, can you visit?
I heard that Giraffe Manor has to book more than half a year in advance for each room, and the price per night exceeds RMB 10,000!
Of course, even if you don't live here, you can also come here to visit
every child is divided into some giraffe biscuits like puffed food, tan, finger The thick one, thin and long, placed on the palm of your hand, the giraffes will come. It is said that this is the favorite food of the giraffe. I would rather come over to eat this and give up the leaves.
started to be a little scared, and later became a laugh, because the giraffes flexible slender tongue lingered, leaving a slimy saliva in the palm of his hand, the children shook While screaming "good disgusting", they still rush to feed them.
However, do you want to have a life-and-death relationship with a gentle giraffe? It doesn't take long to cultivate feelings, it only takes a few seconds, and a lingering French wet kiss is sent to you! Giraffe cookies are placed between the lips, and the giraffe babies will take the initiative to kiss you!
Hey, can you imagine the gratification of the giraffe baby's creamy soft tongue on your lips? If the wet kiss is over, leave a sticky brush on your lips?
maybe, this will be a unique experience for you in this life!
