Montreal City Hall

Montreal was the earliest industrial city in Canada, and it was famous before. I remember when I was a child, I saw on the map that Montreal was the largest city in Canada. Now the city is not as famous as before.

The town hall is no longer in use, and it is being repaired outside when it is going to be empty, it seems like it has been moved elsewhere, but the whole building is as beautiful as a castle.

Montreal City Hall is located in the old town, open to visit, but only in some areas on the first floor, you can also follow the lecturer to listen to the introduction, because the itinerary is relatively fast, just look at a few conference rooms and exhibition halls.

A magnificent building on Notre Dame Road is the City Hall, a second imperial building built from 1872 to 1978, with a balcony above the front entrance, but famous because former French President Charles de Gaulle was invited to visit the World's Fair in 1967. I used to speak to the crowd on this balcony, shouting the famous saying "Long live Quebec independence". Orange Line subway CHAVIPDEMARS station is there.

Montreal City Hall is a typical French Gothic complex with a very large scale. There is a huge square in front of the city hall. There is a beautiful music fountain in the square. It is also the most popular place in Montreal in summer. People rest here and make friends very lively.

Montreal City Hall is the attraction printed on the Montreal Starbucks city mug, which can explain its unique status. When I went to the second time, I sent a circle of friends with the text "Ring City Hall", indicating that all the buildings next to the City Hall are beautiful.
