Gudu Tao Pagoda is near the Golden Palace Monastery, opposite to Shandamuni Monastery, not far from Mandalay Hill.
🚗Traffic strategy: It can be reached by taxi. Unreachable by public transportation. The fare is 8,000 kyats
💰Ticket price: Mandalay pass burmese 10,000 to visit the Kudutao Pagoda.
📌Little Tips: It’s better to do your homework before going.
On the opposite side is the Shandamuni Temple, which is a steeple stupa. If you don't have time, you can choose one of the two. They are all similar stupas.
There are many Buddhist temples and pagodas in Mandalay, and they have not been affected by the war, but most of them have been affected by the vicissitudes of the years. A small part is undergoing multiple renovations. Very majestic, very worth seeing.

A beautiful, serene temple of hundreds of little structures that make up the largest book in the world.
Easily one of my favourite sights in Mandalay, this stunning pagoda is said to contain the world's largest book (the pages are marble slabs in small, individual temples). Located at the foot of Mandalay Hill, head in to admire the beauty and peacefulness of this temple.
Kuthodaw Pagoda is located close to Mandalay Hill. The King Mindon Min had the pagoda built as part of the new royal city of Mandalay in 1857. The Pagoda contains the world's largest book.
