Lotus Square

Golden Lotus Plaza is a landmark location, the most political place, the square in Macau is already very large, usually there are few people here, from the Fisherman's Wharf is suitable for punching in.

On December 20, 1999, on the first day of Macao's return to the motherland, the large-scale cast bronze gold sculpture "Shengshi Lotus" presented by the Chinese State Council was unveiled in the Golden Lotus Plaza in front of the variety show. The main part of "Shengshi Lotus" consists of flower stems, petals and flowers, a total of 16 shapes, using bronze casting, surface gold, weight6.5 tons; the base part is composed of 23 red granite facies stacked. The total height of the sculpture is 6 meters, and the maximum diameter of the flower body part is 3.6 meters. The lotus blossom symbolizes the eternal prosperity of Macau. The three layers of red granite stacked on the base, shaped like lotus leaves, meaning the three islands of Macau.
