What people are saying:

The 44-acre area represents the origins of Los Angeles as a typical "Spanish" village re-creation. While accurate, the area in downtown Los Angeles was originally an Italian enclave, not a Mexican one. East Los Angeles has more Hispanic culture but not very tour friendly. I gave this attraction only 3 stars because it was smaller, overpriced, touristy and it was hard to find parking nearby. The best option is to find a street parking a few blocks away from Chinatown which is also a popular tourist attraction. Best representative of old Spanish / Mexican culture. Available in Santiago, Baboa Park and Old Town Santiago.

Mixed Fajitas & Meatball Soup on Olvera Street (Placita Olvera)

Good, healthy, light mixed fajitas and meatball soup. Everything was really good there including the service. However, the parking fee ($17.50) was unexpected and exorbitant!!!
