The Tate Modern Art Gallery is located on the south bank of the Thames, across the river from St Paul’s Cathedral. Connecting them is the Millennium Bridge across the Thames. It is the largest and most famous hall of modern art in Britain. It mainly exhibits since the 20th century. World-class modern art, its architecture is also very distinctive. It was transformed from the Bank Side Power Plant, and its interior has an industrial style. The second and third floors upstairs are mainly paintings, and the basement floor is sculptures.
Tate modern is an amazing museum - and most of the galleries are totally free. The top floor has an amazing view of the city.
An incredible museum that seems to just keep getting better! Plan to spend the day in order to reach all of the exhibits.
