It’s crazy, how it feels like you’re in the middle of China but you’re actually in London! It’s a perfect in the evening when it’s starting to get dark as all the lights in the air, get lit and you ca...
London Chinatown is a street where Chinese people live in London. London Chinatown, or Chinatown, London, is located in Soho, Westminster, London, UK, with Chinese restaurants, Chinese merchandise stores and souvenir shops. It has also appeared in the book of Charles IX's "Ghost Princess's Wedding Dress".
The earliest Chinese settlement in London was Limehouse. As early as the early 1800s, some laborers and sailors from South China were in London and settled in the shipyard. By the beginning of the 20th century, more and more Chinese living in the area mainly depended on Chinese sailors in neighboring shipyards as customers. Later, the local area became famous for its legal opium smokehouses and slums, compared to the famous restaurants and supermarkets in Chinatown today. It was not until 1934 that the area was demolished, but there are still young Chinese living there.
It seems that every large city has a "Chinatown", we took a quick tuk-tuk ride to this one in the UK. The sights and smells are not exactly like being in China. But it is a fun way to spend an afternoon and you can find certain items, like tea, that are more authentic. #happynewyear
