This jungly-area is still in Lagos, and is good for an afternoon nature walk without having to really leave the city. Monkeys, peacocks will accompany you but you won't be coming face to face with any big game. Would be a good spot to bring kids.

Cool place, some expats here as well
A little preserved part of the marshlands that used to dominate Lekki before it was developed. It has Mona monkeys crocodiles, and an array of birds for twitchers. It has walkways built over the slush, and is pretty cool for those looking to take a stroll. Bring some mosquito repellant though.
The place where you can see the natural resources of Nigeria. If you are lucky, you can see crocodile, snakes in their natural habitat. If you are up to a challenge, please climb to the Tree House.
Lekki Nature Conservation Center, a place to watch little monkeys and walk on a small suspension bridge, is quite interesting. The fare is 2000 naira.
