The Yanyu Building is the main building on the island in the heart of the Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, and has now become a general term for the entire garden on the island. This building runs from south to north, with three doors in the front and two floors in the back, with 5 rooms wide and 2 rooms deep, surrounded by corridors. In the middle of the second floor hangs the plaque of Qianlong's imperial book "Yanyu Tower". The east of the building is Qingyang Bookstore, and the west is Duishan Zhai, each of which has three rooms. The northeast is an octagonal pavilion, and the southeast is a square pavilion. The southwest of the basement stone is a mountain, and the caves under the mountain are circuitous, and you can circle up along the stone pedals. This building is the high point of Chenghu Lake, leaning on the railing and looking far, Wanshu Garden, Rehe Spring, and Yongyou Temple are vividly visible. Whenever the summer and autumn seasons, the mist and rain fill the air, which is like a landscape painting.
