Nanxi Mountain Scenic Area

Nanxi Mountain is named because of the lingering Nanxi Mountain. As early as the Tang Dynasty, Nanxi Mountain was the place where literati Yashi chanted poetry. There were nearly 200 cliff stone carvings, distributed in various caves. Nanxi Mountain two peaks faced each other, high and steep, like two white screens, "Nanxi Ancient Temple" is one of the eight ancient scenes of Guilin. It is said that the cliffs in the north, the mountains are white, the rain is new, the clouds are beginning to open, the sun shines on the mountains and stones, and there will be a dazzling glow. There is Bailong Spring by the north stream of the mountain. It is one of the famous springs in Guilin. The spring water is clear. In ancient times, the emperor was in Gong, so it is called Gongquan.
