HSBC Bank Former Site

The former site of HSBC Bank in Shamian, Guangzhou, has a history of more than 100 years. The existing buildings were rebuilt in 1920 and are neoclassical architectural style. Next door, there is a Starbucks cafe that can be called the most beautiful in Guangzhou. After shopping, a cup of coffee is a good choice.

The original HSBC Bank is located at the northeast corner of the junction of Shamian Street and Shamian Fourth Street. The building is rectangular in north-south direction, and the southeast and southwest are cut corners. The entrance and exit of the lower section adopts the classical gray granite mountain flower gate of the west, and the radiated decoration line is hooked above the mountain flower gate.

As a building full of history along the river road, it is indeed a colored and tiled for the scenery on both sides of the Pearl River. The old European style and typical baroque architecture are definitely a classic example of architecture. It is definitely worth a look, and the night view is even more worthy of praise!

Founded in 1865, the neoclassical style building was established here after HSBC established its head office in Hong Kong.
