🇬🇸 Salisbury Plain — South Georgia 🐧

อีกหนึ่งจุดที่ผมมองว่า คนชอบ King Penguin และถ่ายภาพสัตว์ป่าควรใส่ไว้ในลิสต์ บรรยากาศของที่นี่ต่างจาก St Andrews Bay พอสมควร เพราะเป็นพื้นที่ราบกว้างที่เกิดจากธารน้ำแข็ง มีลำธาร แอ่งน้ำ ทุ่งหญ้า และภูเขาโอบอยู่ด้านหลัง ภาพที่เห็นคือเพนกวินกระจายเต็มพื้นที่แบบสุดสายตา ดูดิบและเป็นธรรมชาติมาก
📅 แพลนเที่ยว Salisbury Plain — ครึ่งวัน

ช่วงเช้า — Zodiac เข้าฝั่ง
ออกจากเรือ Expedition Cruise ด้วย Zodiac เข้าหาชายฝั่ง Salisbury Plain ถ้าคลื่นและลมเอื้อ จุดลงหลักจะอยู่บริเวณหาดกรวดยาวด้านหน้าที่ราบธารน้ำแข็ง แต่ที่นี่ขึ้นชื่อว่า landing ค่อนข้างขึ้นอยู่กับสภาพคลื่น ลม และจำนวนแมวน้ำบนชายหาดมาก

09. 00 น. — เดินตามแนวชายหาด
หลังลงฝั่ง แนะนำไม่ต้องรีบเดินเข้าไปไกล ช่วงชายหาดก็มี King Penguin เดินขึ้นลงทะเลให้ถ่ายภาพได้แล้ว โดยเฉพาะจังหวะที่เพนกวินรวมตัวกันริมคลื่น ภาพฉากหลังจะได้ทั้งทะเลและภูเขาหิมะ

10. 00 น. — ชม King Penguin Colony 🐧
เดินเข้าสู่บริเวณ Glacial Outwash Plain จะเริ่มเห็นฝูง King Penguin หนาแน่นขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ Salisbury Plain กับ St Andrews Bay เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีอาณานิคม King Penguin ขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดสองแห่งของ South Georgia และ King Penguin สามารถพบได้ตลอดทั้งปี เพราะวงจรการสืบพันธุ์ของพวกมันยาวกว่าหนึ่งปี

เดินกลับตามชายหาดและขึ้น Zodiac กลับเรือ ที่นี่ไม่ใช่จุดสำหรับพักค้างคืน นักท่องเที่ยวทั่วไปเดินทางโดยเรือ Expedition Cruise หรือ yacht และ South Georgia ไม่มีที่พักสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวบนฝั่ง

ลองเก็บให้ครบ 3 แบบคือ King Penguin ริมทะเล, ฝูงเพนกวินบนที่ราบโดยมีภูเขาหิมะเป็นฉากหลัง และ ภาพกว้างจาก viewpoint ถ้าเส้นทางเปิด สำหรับภาพสัตว์ป่าไม่จำเป็นต้องพยายามเข้าใกล้ ใช้เลนส์ Telephoto จะได้พฤติกรรมเป็นธรรมชาติกว่าและไม่รบกวนสัตว์
