Jining

Located in the southwestern part of Shandong Province, Jining is the “hometown of Confucius and Mencius” and has a long history. Jining has many places of interest and is one of the birthplaces of Confucian culture. Confucius Temple and Confucius' Mansion are both very large in size and hold many cultural relics. They form part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Han Dynasty monuments in Jining are large in quantity and famous for their high value. In addition, there are attractions such as Taibailou, Shengyuan Building, Iron Pagoda Temple and Dongda Temple, all contributing to the fascinating historical and cultural atmosphere.
