An almost 1 km uphill walk - BUT worth the effort. Ensure you leave early & reach atleast 30 mins before sunrise to capture the changing colours of the skyline![Sheda11](https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0a26m22344bjvwiu86389.jpg)

Watching the sunrise over Kanchenjunga and the Himalayas at Tiger Ridge is the main itinerary to visit Darjeeling. Tiger Ridge, which is 2590 meters above sea level, is about 13 kilometers away from the city. Tourists watching the sunrise have to go out in the dark in the early morning and take a jeep to go there. Before dawn, the top of the mountain is crowded with people. From the viewing platform, there is a sea of clouds waiting for the sun to emerge on one side. On one side are peaks waiting for the sun to shine. The more moving thing is that from the cosmos-like golden pale sky, to the moment when the sun rises, it shines on Kangchenjunga Peak and reflects the silver light of the snow on the top of the mountain. The scenery changes every minute and every second. Move your steps, just to see this magnificent and delicate one more; if you are lucky, you can also see Mount Everest in the distance.
