Sanggar Agung Temple

A pagoda with a building that combines traditional Balinese and Chinese architecture and is a place of worship for Buddhists. This place has a good view because it directly faces the Ria Kenjeran Beach Surabaya. For non-worshipping visitors, a special road is provided so as not to disturb those who are worshiping. Ciri khas dari klenteng ini adalah sebuah patung Kwan Im setinggi 20 meter yang terletak di tepi laut. Klenteng ini dipersembahkan kepada Nan Hai Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa atau Bodhisatwa Kwan Im Laut Selatan. Patung ini dibangun setelah seorang karyawan Sanggar Agung melihat sesosok wanita berjubah putih berjalan di atas air pada saat ia sedang menutup Klenteng di malam hari. Penampakan tersebut dipercaya sebagai penampakan Kwan Im sendiri. Ikon lain dari Sanggar Agung adalah patung Phra Phrom raksasa berlapis emas.

Sanggar Agung Temple or Hong San Tang is a Chinese temple in Surabaya dedicated to Chinese deities and other Asian religious icon.Ia terletak di Pantai Ria amusement park and has become a tourist destination, even though it is originally a worship place for Tridharma followers.

This temple is quite small! Beautiful statues and a nice Temple next to it have many lights and candles to create an amazing atmosphere. Not too many people are a bit hard to get a taxi.
