This is a very old museum in Campeche, which houses many artifacts of Mexican Mayan culture and historical relics of Mexico's colonial period. The long history of Mexico that is shown to everyone is worth visiting and will have a different harvest.
The Campeche History Museum is located on the first floor of the Castle of San Miguel and is divided into ten exhibition halls, so it is also one of the largest museums in Campeche's various fortress museums. Artifacts from the Mayan archaeological sites of Kalacmoor and Edsner, which are currently affiliated with Campeche, are displayed here. The most famous is the jade mask of the king of the snake dynasty excavated in Karakmoor, and the stone tablets, jade necklaces and cans of burial utensils for the sun and moon are also on display. There is a parking lot outside the gate of St. Miguel Castle, but in addition to the tourists chartered car, there are many private cars waiting for customers, and the price of returning to the old city is relatively high, so the best solution is to walk down the mountain to find a taxi on the road, the fare is 40 pesos.
