    Oasis on the hill

    Original Text

Access from National Highway 57 to Prefectural Road 657. It stands in the back of Fumio Asakura Memorial Park. Admission fee 500 yen. Payment is cash only. You can take pictures in the hall. There are plenty of works by Mr. Shizuka, who laid the foundation for modern Japanese sculptures such as female statues, cat statues, and male statues. Outdoor sculptures are scattered in the park. It's a good idea to visit in a rough look like a field athletic.

    Works Show

    Original Text

It is a memorial hall for Mr. Asakura, a sculptor and a native of Oita. 40 masterpieces are exhibited, and the building is impressive, but it looks like a museum in a place rich in nature.

There are many objects of Fumio Asakura

    Original Text

From the national route 57, it is worried that it is lost because it enters considerably in the prefectural road 657, but the area around the memorial hall is quiet and long. Because there is a distance from the main road (R57), there are not many people coming in, and the people are sparse, including the memorial hall & garden. Personally, I like the garden better than the memorial hall.
