Photos of Massachusetts State House

The Massachusetts State Capitol is a classical building with a golden dome on Beacon Hill in Boston. The buildings with red brick walls, white columns and golden roofs are particularly conspicuous, so they have long been a symbol of Boston. In front of the building is an equestrian statue of Joseph Hooker, which commemorates the excellence of the U.S. Army Major in the Seminole War, the Mexican-American War and the American Civil War. There are many other statues in front of the building, including former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, former U.S. Secretary of State Daniel Webster, and educator Horace Mann. Entering the building, the interior is magnificent, and the flag hall below the dome collects various war flags from the civil war period. In the stair hall, you can also see the murals about Paul Revere's flying horse and "Boston Tea". It is worth mentioning that a famous wooden fish hangs in the hall of the House of Representatives. It is the "sacred cod" of Massachusetts, indicating that the importance of fishing here since 1784 cannot be ignored. In addition, there are many precious historical documents such as the "Mayflower Peace Treaty" in the underground archives and museums.
