Beijing Gaobeidian International Folk Tourism Culture Village

Gaobeidian International Folk Tourism Village is located in Chaoyang District, northeast of Beijing. It is an ancient village with a thousand-year history. It used to be the connecting port of the ancient canal, and it was also the necessary channel for the grain fleet. In the village, there are well-known classical furniture street and water town teahouse culture street. This street is all about Yishui'er Ming and Qing old furniture, with a total length of 1,500 meters and more than 300 merchants. Walking into the antique furniture street, you will see the facades of antique shops lined up on both sides of the street, the quaint storefront plaques, the gray-white buildings, and all kinds of exquisite furniture can be seen through the antique doors and windows. The more you walk into the street, the more you can feel the charm of the ancient furniture street. You can find old furniture and new concept furniture, decorative items and ceramics of "old wood and new work". Gaobeidian Village flourished in the Liao and Jin Dynasties as a Canal Wharf and a distribution center for imperial grain commodities. However, with the passage of time, the former distribution center has long ceased to exist, and traditional folk culture—walking on stilts, shaking diabolo, pasting lanterns, twisting yangko, and beating drums has become the business card of Gaobeidian Village.
