The Ubud area is away fromthe beaches so it is a bit more quieter. this is the area to go to see some lush vegetation . There are some really beautiful rice terraces in this region . some are a bit touristy but others you can find are quiet . the weather is variable in this region so constantly check your weather reports . plan to spend a full day in this area before heading back
Fun in the jungles! Ubud is the place to be if your looking at becoming one with nature. This is the most lush landscape in Bali with great things to do. While there ( travelled with two children) we experienced ATV riding throughout the rain forest , rivers and waterfalls , to the sight of free roaming monkeys at the Monkey Sanctuary , gracefully washed elephants at the Masons lodge ... experienced the beauty of rice terraces and topped it off with an evening camping out! Ubud is a must do for that total Bali experience with endless possibilities.
One of the big surprise of this year for me , such nice and idyllic place, amazing landscapes , rice fields , temples , monkey forest, palace , reataurants, amazing service in hotels really out of this world , no like other place ! ideal for retreat and honeymooners , surrounded for historical places . Much recommended !
amazing place to visit. so much nature and fund activities to do and beautiful sights to see.
UBUD IS AMAZING! If you like a more peaceful area; away from the crowds, this is the place to be! Make sure you visit the market and also the Tegallalang Rice Field. It is quite far though, around 2 hours from Kuta. So, I will highly suggest you to spend the night there unless you are in a rush.
Loved & enjoyed my stay at Ubud Bali , you can see many temples , rice fields, coffee & lot of activites to do. Had a spiritual journey & relaxed.
Escape from sand and beaches and waves to lush green fields of Ubud. There are a lot of activites you could do like the famous Bali swing, take a stroll in the rice fields, ride quad bikes if you love adventure, go to the monkey forest or go watch one of Bali’s active volcanoes. while you are at it, try the famous Bali coffee on the way.
Ubud is a charming place , many shops selling art , silver jewllery, nice cloths , books , restaurants and bars . worthwhile a visit to the palace , near the art market abd the monkey forest , there are interesting museums and yoga place . not far from doentown you have interesting temples and rice terraces for hiking abd gave a coffee luwak overlooking them . The top experience is staying in a forest hotel nearby , amazing , not to be missed better than in the area near the beaches and there are many of the best and all of them provide shuttles to Ubud downtown.
