The Mother Temple is a royal garden temple in Bali. It was built in 1634 and is the second largest temple on the island. It was the royal altar of the Mengwi Kingdom era. The entrance is a large lawn, the inner courtyard is a variety of sacrificial altars, there are many sacrificial towers and 29 ancestral shrines in the temple, as well as beautiful moats and gardens. The gray stone bricks and sculptures show its centuries of vicissitudes. This magnificent temple was built in 1634 and renovated in 1937. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 2012.
