OTH is one of the many extinct volcanoes in Auckland. From here you can see the Auckland skyline, the nearby islands as well as go to the park below to shoot archery or hang out with the sheep. Beware - it's REALLY windy up here!

Like a lot of New Zealand history, a simple volcanic peak with an obelisk on it obscures a lot of historry. This volcanic peak is 182 metres (597 feet) tall. It has great views over Auckland's two h...
A dance rehearsal at Maungakiekie also known as One Tree Hill. Walked around this historic volcanic peak. The location offers a spectacular view of Auckland, so be sure to visit if you’re in New Zealand.

If you want to see the panorama of the city, there are two places to go. One is Mount Eden and the other is a tree mountain. Because of the belt, I still choose a tree, because it can drive directly to the top of the mountain.
Yishu Mountain is also called Dushu Mountain. It is located in the Cornwall Park in the southern suburbs of Auckland. It is a hillock formed by volcanic eruptions about 30,000 years ago and is 182 meters high. There was once a lonely pine tree on the top of the mountain. Now the tree is no longer there and there is only one monument and the tomb of Sir John Logan Campbell, the father of Auckland.

Formed by 3 volcanoes, the park is huge. And the view is awesome. Take the offroad 'shortcut' to the summit and walk among the sheep.
I went when the Tree was there, many times
A nice spot to go for a walk throughout the park or to visit the memorial and obelisk for the Maori people atop the volcanic peak (the area and park was formed by lava and a volcanic eruption thousands of years ago). The peak offers lovely views of Auckland and the surrounding area too.
Good place for families also for friends. There are some cows, sheep etc. in this park. Good to take a deep breath. What's more, there is a area which allow u guys to have a BBQ.b
