Similar to Manley in Sydney, it is a beautiful coastal suburb, located at the bottom of the North coast. It's fast and relaxing to take a ferry to downtown. Not exactly "scenic spots", but some very good places for walking, including dormant volcanoes, historic gun positions and tunnels, parks and safe beaches. There are some beautiful Victorian and Edwardian residential buildings. There are many good cafes. The restaurant is OK, but not particularly good.
We bought a round trip ticket from the dock for 12 NT per person and took a boat to the opposite town. It took about 15 minutes to get there and enjoy the sea view on the boat. The boat is three stories high. Many tourists choose to sit on the top floor. The view is beautiful.
Along Queen Street to the end of the harbour there are ferry to Devon Port. There are still many ferry flights. Devon Porter is a quiet residential area, where there is no bustling Queen Street, more of the breath of life. From here you can see the CBD of Auckland Harbour. It's really beautiful when the weather is clear. If time is not tight in Auckland, you can spend half a day here.
Oakland's historic seaside town of Devonport has charming beaches, small town centres full of coffee, shops and galleries, and two volcanic cones to see the magnificent scenery. Ferries can arrive in minutes from downtown Auckland, and bus transfers from takapuna.
Driving from downtown Auckland to Devonport for a day, the town is very beautiful, leisurely, pleasant and famous. There are many cheap coffee shops and restaurants in town. There are very big shallows, great, two or three hundred meters into the sea, just to the knees, there are many seabirds playing. There is a large public toilet and shower beside it. It's very convenient. Driving to the North Cape Hill, parking in a parking lot halfway up the hill, climbing up the stairs, there are two abandoned ancient fortresses on the hill. They are commanding heights. They can look at Auckland from a distance, walk on the hill and enjoy first-class views.
It's comforting to visit places, seaports, towns in Auckland.
A small town close to the city of Auckland takes only 15 minutes by ferry, which is known as Gulangyu Island in Auckland. It used to be a military fortress. On the top of Victoria Mountain, you can see the sky tower, a tree mountain, Mission Bay, Longtaotao volcano, torrent island and other scenic spots. It is a good place for relaxation.
It's a quiet and leisurely town. It takes only 10 minutes to take a ferry ride from Auckland. The wharf is a shopping street. Several restaurants in the street are doing well. One of them is very delicious. Victoria Hill is not very high. It's a ten-minute climb to the top with a good view.
