I read about Auckland Zoo that it was almost animals' sanctuary. It was, indeed. It was the first zoo I've ever been in a foreign country and I was surprised with the co-living of the animals.

Very interactive keepers, friendly staff and great viewing points to the animals. As a nanny the children loved learning facts and guessing the names of the animals, very pleased with our day out!

Great for families especially with young children. Frequent visitors should become a friend of the zoo. A must have if you are a parent of small children
Auckland Zoo is one of the best zoos I have ever been to. You can easily spend a day here walking through the different enclosures and you can bring your own food or buy it from a nice café on site. The zoo is fantastic for kids - its designed to be interactive and engaging and there are numerous playgrounds located around. Also, next to the zoo is Western Springs Park where there is a large playground and several duck ponds - it's a lovely spot for a picnic or just a walk.
awsome place to take the kids
