The Auckland Harbour Bridge is a massive bridge over the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland. It is about two thirds of a mile long and it is the second longest bridge in New Zealand. Good views.
Auckland Harbor Bridge has suffered substantial damage. The bridge is now only four lanes. Allow 4-5 hours may be more to cross. Check NZTA online for updates. Travel late at night or very very early ...
Not as impressive as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but still worth seeing
The thing I like most about this widened bridge is what the locals call the extra traffic lanes: "The Nippon Clip-on." Why? because it was a Japanese bridge-building company that showed how the bridge...
We toured by the bridge and saw it from various angles. It is a sight to see. We did not go over the bridge, but was on a hop on hop off tour and it took us right by the bridge. Couldn't get a bett...
If you want to take up bungee jumping, try out the Auckland Harbour Bridge bungee Jump area. The bridge has had a presence in Auckand since Dorman Long and the Cleveland Bridge & Engineering Company constructed it in the 1950s. Your inner self, longing for a few adventures in life, thrills at the mere thought of jumping from the specially constructed bungee pod into the Waitamata Harbour. Enjoy a completely secure walk via the professionally designed walkways. If climbing appeals to you, enjoy the bridge climb to see splendid views of Auckland.
I took the Auckland city tour that also takes you to do the bridge walk as well as an option to bungee jump if you like to (extra cost).
Not as dramatic as walking the Sydney Harbour Bridge but still a good experience.
The Auckland Harbor Bridge isn't much to look at and isn't as impressive as many other harbor bridges, but I got to run over it as part of the Auckland Marathon. There are great views of the harbor and skyline that you probably can't appreciate as you are driving.
awesome view
Enjoy the view of the AH bridge, see it stretched out over Auckland Harbour.
