The best Yufuin attraction, least visited !
finally I can write a fully enthousiast review for an attraction in Yufui; although there is a reason why this is not visited by many people : it is hard to find, hard to get to and does not offer gl...
It is a shrine built on the slope of the mountain facing Mt. Yufu. It takes about 20 minutes on foot from Yufu station. You have to walk on a considerable slope along the way, but it is worth walking as you can worship the majestic shrine building. The main shrine has a taste of history, and you will be overwhelmed just by looking at it. Osugi, which is over 1000 years old, was also spectacular. It seems to be a bonus, but I think Mt. Yufu seen along the way is a place where you can take better pictures than anywhere else.
I am surprised at the vitality of Osugi, which is said to be over a thousand years old. The guardian dog is cute. You can drive up close, but the slope is steep and the parking lot is narrow. I don't think it's possible to make a small turn in a big car.
I stayed at a nearby ryokan and took a taxi for a walk. The bamboo forest, old trees, and tall trees were in harmony, making it a great place to take a walk. You can look around for about 30 minutes. From here to the main street of Yufuin, the road is beautiful, so you can take a rest and walk down.
