You can go down to the base of the dam through the management road. It is only a walk from the middle, but if you look up from below, you can see the size well. However, there is no sightseeing water discharge like Kurobe Dam, so it's just big. It will look up from the top of the bridge over the river flowing out of the dam.

There is a big dam, the name is Schupalo? It was my first ear. What does it mean? When I went to a place where I could see the dam well, it was closed due to falling rocks. I looked at the dam from a distance. There were several cars parked, but they were for anglers.

重力式ダムの典型かな

結構巨大なダムでした。重力式ダムの典型的な形なのでしょうか、タモリも喜びそうなダムです。近くまで行くと大きさが分かります。個人的にはアーチ形が好きなので、食指はくすぐられなかったけど、まあ一見の価値はあるかと。

北海道一人旅で時間が無かったが夕張シユーパロダムへ行きました、見えてあと少しで到着か？残念ながら通行止め！次は必ず行きます。ダムカードは途中の道の駅夕張メロードでもらえます。
