Walk, history, monks, poetry and music in Mid Wales
Teithiau Cerdded Dyfi Walking Tours - walk, poetry and music with Arfon Hughes, Owen Shiers and starting off at Ystrad Fflur - Strata Florida Abbey. Pleasant walk with wonderful views.
Lovely piece of history to visit, dog friendly
lovely little place to visit, good information boards with parking opposite. I went out of season so office and cafe area was shut. Dogs are allowed on lead around the grounds (not in the cemetery)...

Visitor centre shut even though it was just before Easter
We're suckers for ruined churches and castles but the (tiny) visitors' centre was shut even though it was just before Easter so there were no toilets open and no information about the site. We had dri...
Amazing history
This is a most historic site and is well worth a visit. The farm house at the side of the Abbey is now being restored and light refreshments can be purchased there.
