Arriving at the visitor center early this morning, I didn't feel much, as this time I opted for a bus-to-boat trip. However, I couldn't help but marvel at the grandeur and magnificence of the Three Gorges Dam project! In the morning, a bus took us from the visitor center to the scenic area bus stop (10 yuan ticket). The park's shuttle buses then took us to various attractions: Tanzikou—185 Viewing Platform—Interception Memorial Park (Three Gorges Project Museum)—Miniature Landscape Park. In the afternoon, we departed from the visitor center and soon arrived at the Gezhouba Dam ship lift. Experiencing it firsthand was truly awe-inspiring. As the ship adjusted its attitude, it entered the channel almost without any obstruction. Once fully inside, the gate slowly closed, sealing the entire ship in the open shaft. Those with claustrophobia might find it a bit uncomfortable. Next came the lowering of the ship. Our ship, number ten, was lowered (I think an elevation might be more interesting). The descent was faster than expected, taking about 8 minutes to lower the ship nearly 30 meters. Our ship then sailed downstream from the Gezhouba Dam. After exiting the No. 3 lock, the journey took about 20 minutes to reach Yichang Station, where we docked. I was deeply impressed by the awe-inspiring sight of this national treasure!

The trip to the Gezhouba Dam and the Xiling Gorge is definitely worth experiencing. Each person had a box, which was good and hygienic. But the food was not very good and the taste was light. After that, we took a bus to the dam scenic area. The water price there was not bad, so you don't need to bring too much water. Try to travel light and wear comfortable sports shoes. The tour guide will give out headphones for explanations, which costs 20 yuan. It is recommended that families with more than two people get one. Not only can you listen to the explanations, but it is also not easy to fall behind (if you don't want it, you have to return it to the tour guide at the guide map. After passing the security check, it is assumed that you have accepted it). After the security check, you will take a shuttle bus to 3 locations in turn. (Unfortunately, there was a thunderstorm warning that day, and Tanziling was temporarily closed and I didn't go there. After arriving at the last point, the Interception Memorial Park, you can see the front panoramic view of the bus. At that time, I was shocked. If I could see the flood discharge a few days earlier, it would be more spectacular. The sun was too hot to appreciate this magnificent national treasure slowly. The tourists who came here took a few photos and went to the shade to rest. After that, the day's journey was basically over. Follow the tour guide to take the shuttle bus back to the tourist center and take the bus back to the city. A suggestion for the scenic spot: There are too many secondary consumptions on the cruise ship, which is understandable, but can you manage the order? There are people who want to occupy the seats that have been paid for. I hope to strengthen the management ability of the staff. Here are some special tips for you: 1. Try not to come on hot days. The best time is mid-to-early September or October, when it is not hot and there are few people. 2. Wear comfortable shoes and don't bring too much water. Check the weather before coming. 3. The rental of the interpreter is 20 yuan each. The tour guide is collected at the service desk according to the number of people. If there are more people, you can rent one. The part you don't want can be directly stated when it is issued, or returned to the tour guide at the guide map. After passing the security check, it is deemed to be accepted by default. 4. The shuttle bus is free, and the open-top sightseeing bus to Tanziling is at your own expense. It only takes 10 minutes to walk, but I don't think it is necessary. Friends with inconvenient legs and feet can consider it.

The boat departed on time at 8:30 in the morning, departing from the Yichang Port of the Three Gorges Visitor Center. The Gezhouba Ship Lock and the scenery on both sides of the Xiling Gorge are very beautiful. The booths on the second floor are charged for tea and snacks. People with strong physical strength do not need to sit for the whole view (I bought it but didn't sit for a few minutes). There are tourists who bring their own small stools to occupy the front position of the bow on the third floor platform. It's so pleasant to watch the boat pass through the Gezhouba Ship Lock. Recommended car-to-boat-return route. In the morning, take a car to the Three Gorges Dam at the Three Gorges Visitor Center, and take a boat to visit Xiling Gorge and Gezhouba in the afternoon. The temperature is not high in the morning, and you can walk through the Three Gorges Dam when you are physically fit. There will be a tour guide to explain the whole process. First go to 196, climb up to overlook the panoramic view, watch the boat pass the "elevator", then go to 185 to see the majestic dam body, and finally go to the interception memorial park to visit the engineering equipment for building the dam and see the entire dam downstream. I was tired in the morning, so after lunch, I took a boat to see Xiling Gorge, Three Gorges People and experience the boat passing back to Gezhouba Ship Lock.
