Garden Hill Catholic Church

I am not a Catholic, nor do I believe in these things. I just went in to learn more. It is next to the park, the environment is pretty good, there is a church inside, and there are people worshipping, but I am not too interested.

Huayuanshan Catholic Church is a famous tourist attraction in Tanhualin, but you can't go in to visit it. There may be time restrictions or only Christians can enter. I couldn't go in to see it this time, which is a little regretful. I will come again next time.

The structure and scale of the church are relatively large in Wuchang and even Wuhan, and it is also the location of the Catholic Central South Seminary of Theology and Philosophy. Its existence is indeed low-key, hidden in the southern foot of Huayuan Mountain. Walk south along Yanzhi Road from Tanhualin, and turn right at the first drivable alley. If you go in from Desheng Bridge or Gejiaying, those alleys will be even harder to find. The church is built on the mountain, with high steps in front of the building, which looks very majestic from the bottom up. The most eye-catching thing is the colorful rose window on its lintel. The middle part is said to be an exquisite timer, and the time can be counted by observing the reflection of the sun. Next to the church is the Wuhan Children's Welfare Institute, which also has a historical building, the original "Wuchang Huayuanshan Nursery".

It's average, average, average. In terms of grandeur, it can't compare with the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Guangzhou. In terms of quantity, it can't compare with the churches in Macau. The ones in Jinghua City are probably spaced farther apart, haha.

Huayuanshan Catholic Church is located on Tanhualin Street. Many nearby residents go to Huayuanshan for morning exercises. At the foot of the mountain is the long-established Rongyuan Café, which offers a pleasant atmosphere.
