This is a park in Wuhan with the theme of the myth of Dayu controlling floods. It is located by the Yangtze River Bridge. The Yellow Crane Tower is on the other side of the bridge. This park mainly contains statues related to Dayu controlling floods. It is okay for leisure visits.
Enter from the intersection under the Yangtze River Bridge, and walk 500 meters towards Qingchuan Pavilion. There is a memorial park with sculptures based on the myths and legends of Dayu. The sculptures inside are stories, lifelike, and you can slowly browse and guess the scenes in the stories.
Dayu Mythological Garden, on the Bank of Hanyang River. The best time should be in March of Yangchun. The cherry blossoms along the road are in full bloom. Red and white are dotted on the avenue. It's very beautiful. Here is the best place to enjoy the Yangtze River Bridge. The sculptures in the park are also worth seeing. Of course, the most beautiful ones are the cherry blossoms in the nearby Qingchuan Pavilion and Qingchuan Hotel.
Originally heading for the Qingchuan Pavilion, it accidentally stopped at the Dayu Mythological Garden, which is also part of the Hanyang River Beach in Wuhan. The main theme is the Dayu Mythological Sculpture Landscape Garden. It is about 400 meters long without tickets. Standing on the platform of 12 beasts, you can see the magnificence of the Yangtze River Bridge. The trees here are shady and very leisure.
In my impression, Dayu's water harnessing seems to refer to the Yellow River, but there is no reason why Wuhan should build gardens here, because the riverbanks and dams are the lifeline of the largest city in China. They not only commemorate historical figures, but also have the meaning of "God bless you". A series of sculptures along the Yangtze River showing the history of the water myth of Dayu are quite instructive. Unfortunately, compared with Wuchang, the traffic in Hankou is not so convenient, and the visitors are not many and quiet.
Dayu Mythology Park is located between Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and Qingchuan Pavilion. It is part of Hanyang River Beach. There are murals of Dayu's story of flood control and sculptures related to Dayu's flood control. The theme park is right on the bank of the Yangtze River, just below the Yangtze River Bridge, and the environment is very good.
It is about 1 km from Qingchuan Pavilion of Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. According to the myth of Dayu controlling floods, dozens of sculptures were built, mostly made of bronze. They are lifelike and full of expressions. It would be boring if you just look at them in a hurry. It would be really interesting if you tell the stories of these sculptures to your children.
