The exhibition is surprisingly interesting.
Original Text
I could see the building from the castle tower of Wakayama Castle, so I walked in the direction of Gokoku Shrine. The history of Wakayama has been exhibited in detail since the Kofun period. It was a place I don't usually look at, so I enjoyed purchasing knowledge. It seemed that many people came by car along with the museum next door. There is a Wakayama bus stop nearby.
Basically, the exhibition follows history in chronological order, but Kumano and Mt. Koya had detailed exhibitions. I was planning to go to Mt. Koya after this, so it was helpful. After seeing this museum, I walked through Wakayama Castle for less than 2 hours. The parking lot was in the basement of the museum and 2 time was free.
This is the Wakayama Prefectural Museum of Art, located next to Wakayama Castle. It was relocated to the current building in 1994, and the building designed by Kurokawa Kisho itself is incredibly modern and beautiful, so it is enough to be convinced even if it is built these days. The space itself is very beautiful, so I recommend you to visit at least once, whatever the interior exhibition is.

I know Wakayama.
The contents of the exhibits were very good and I learned a lot. The history of Wakayama was also very easy to understand and I forgot the time.
No materials for admission
I've been here before, but I came because the first Sunday of every month was free of charge. I think it's a good initiative.
The exhibition of Kumano / Koyasan was helpful
