A day at wlackwater falls
Wonderful setting great falls up close and personal. Path idown many level of wooden steps safe walk. There are overlook stops on the way down. Getting up is a little challenging but worth the effort.
Blackwater Falls State Park is comfortable and well maintained.
The cabin we stayed in was spacious enough, clean, very private, and quiet. (It was much nicer than our room and the surroundings at Big Meadows on Skyline Drive. We walked some of the park trails, ...

Clean park, beautiful setting, well maintained trails, and worth the hike down to view the falls. Friendly staff in the gift ship. Clean and well stocked bathrooms. Dog-friendly.

This place is a gem in the middle of West Virginia. Enjoy the falls, lodge, views, lake and wildlife refuge. We have been twice now and never disappointed.
