The Metal Man
While the way to reach the site is not very clear once you get there the view's were spectacular hope you have a head for heights and don't mind climbing over fences
A lovely visit from the cove but not recommended for young kids as the walk from the cove car park is a little dangerous in places along the cliff edge.
Last visit 1971. As a child, all of my summer holidays were spent in Drumcannon Tramore, each day we would visit this fantastic beach, and in the evenings frequent the amusements. This continued...
People, come on. All this hoopla about not being about to get to The Metal Man...do a little research, put out a little effort, and you'll have no problem. There are two ways to get to the spot......

Top of the world!
Hard to see but it is a man standing on top of a tall tower which is one of three towers. Visible from the pitch and put golf course.
Great to visit but cliff walk not for kids
