Old embankment of the Tama Gawa river
Original Text
On the north side of the current embankment on the left bank of the Tama River, there is an old brick embankment. Since the factories around here almost collapsed due to the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1920, the factories along the Tama River were built with steel-framed unloading facilities and brick embankments solidified with red bricks. The outside of the red brick embankment is a roadway, but the inside is a sidewalk, so I was able to walk while looking slowly.
A red brick embankment is built along the road extending east along the Tama River from the north foot of the high-speed Daishi Bridge. It is a flood control embankment built in the Taisho era, and it is well preserved. I wondered if there were many water accidents in the past, and I thought it was a little unimaginable to see the calm Tama River.
Does the red brick embankment symbolize the Showa era? The preservation is not bad, but I have to say that it is terrible if I respect the overall structure. Only a few meters of them may remain.
It is a former embankment. It was built in the early Showa period and is scattered from Daishi Bridge to Ebitori River Mae. Unfortunately, there are many places where the entrance to the house built inside the brick and the parking lot have been destroyed for convenience, and I hope it will not be protected as a cultural property of Ota Ward.

Deep taste い
It is located a little inside from the Tama River near the industrial road. The red brick wall stands for a long distance. Why is it a red brick wall?
