It is said that it was founded in 827 by Jikaku Daishi Enjin. Taipeiyama Shrine is a shrine located on the long stone steps of Omotesando, which overlooks Tochigi City from the top of Mt. Taihei since ancient times. Many gods are enshrined, including Amaterasu Imperial God, and Toyokehime Okami. It is famous for cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangea in early summer.
