Tbilisi Cable Car

I visited Tbilisi in mid August and joined a walking tour to explore the Old City. We took the cable car from Rike Park to the top of the Fortress. There was a long queue when we got to the cable car station around 7pm but it moved fast and we were seated in 20 minutes. The ride was pretty short - 2-3 minutes but offered great views of the city! You can pay by card (scan directly at the ticket machine) or by cash, which you'll need to add the amount into a metromoney card. The card costs 2 GEL extra. One ride per person costs 2.50 GEL.

A great way to get up the hill if it is hot as it saves you the walk - can get either a single or return and can also use contactless card!
